Frequently Asked Questions
Do you install cameras that I buy myself?
Yes. We take on installation-only work with customer-supplied hardware. We will check compatibility between your cameras, recorder and switch before starting, and we will tell you honestly if something in the kit will not do what you expect. Warranty on customer-supplied items stays with wherever you bought them.
Will I be able to watch the cameras on my phone?
Yes, once the site has a working internet connection. Recording happens on the recorder whether the internet is up or not. Remote viewing on Pakistani connections sometimes needs extra setup because some ISPs place customers behind carrier-grade NAT, which blocks the old port-forwarding approach, so we configure the manufacturer app route instead.
How many days of footage will I get?
It depends on channel count, resolution, frame rate, whether you record continuously or on motion, and hard disk size. We work it backwards: you tell us how many days you want to be able to go back, and we size the disk for that at survey rather than guessing.
What happens if a camera overlooks my neighbour?
We aim cameras to cover your own boundary and apply privacy masking to areas that are not yours. Cameras pointing into a neighbour’s courtyard or a family area are a common cause of local disputes, and it is far easier to design that out at survey than to argue about it afterwards.
Do you handle repairs on an existing system?
Yes. Cameras offline, no display, a DVR that has stopped recording, a failed hard disk or a dead mobile view are all standard callouts for us on Pollo Security equipment.
How soon can you start?
A small home system is often completed in a single working day once material and camera positions are confirmed, while larger commercial sites are phased around your working hours.
